Minimum Entry Requirements for Diploma / Ordinary Qualification Holders

Holders of Ordinary Diploma or Equivalent Qualifications — 2026/2027 Academic Year

General Entry Requirements

Ordinary Diploma, FTC and Equivalent Qualification Applicants

At least four passes ('D' Grade and above) at 'O' Level or NVA Level III with less than four O' Level passes or equivalent foreign qualifications as established by either NECTA or NACTVET; and either (i) at least a GPA of 3.0 for an Ordinary Diploma (NTA Level 6); or (ii) an average of 'C' Grade for Full Technician Certificate (FTC) (where A=5, B=4, C=3, and D=2 points); or (iii) an average of 'B' Grade for Diploma in Teacher Education; or (iv) an average of 'B' Grade for health-related awards such as Clinical Medicine and others; or (v) a Distinction for unclassified Diplomas and certificates; or (vi) an Upper Second Class for classified non-NTA Diplomas.

Foundation Certificate of the OUT

A GPA of 3.0 accumulated from six core subjects and at least a 'C' Grade from three subjects in a respective cluster (Arts, Science and Business Studies) plus an Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination with at least 1.5 points from two subjects; or an Ordinary Diploma from a recognized institution with a GPA of at least 2.0, or an NTA Level 5 / Professional Technician Level II Certificate.

Bachelor's Degree Holders

Applicants who already hold a Bachelor's degree may apply for admission into another Bachelor's degree programme under the equivalent entry scheme, subject to the receiving university's assessment and the programme's specific requirements.

Health-Related Programmes

All Health-Related Programmes

All equivalent applicants must have an appropriate Diploma or Advanced Diploma with an average of 'B' or a minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition, an applicant must have at least five (5) passes in any non-religious subject at O-Level.

Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Bachelor of Science in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics

Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Agriculture, Nutrition, Environmental Health, Nursing or Midwifery with an average of 'B+' or a minimum GPA of 3.5. In addition, an applicant must have at least five (5) passes in any non-religious subject at O-Level.
